Avionics Systems Engineer

• Technical responsibility for the Primary and Secondary Flight Control System (PFCS/SFCS) for a FAR Title 14 Part 23/ EASA CS-23 aircraft

• Define requirements for the flight controls system and associated actuation to ensure compliance with regulations and customer specifications

• Layout PFCS/SFCS systems architectures and perform trade studies

• Support PFCS/SFCS design development in accordance with the flight controls safety objectives

• Systems modelling and analysis for systems’ performance predictions

• Verification/compliance to customer and certification requirements in DOORS

• Support flight controls systems and electro-mechanical actuations in the continued development of systems and components technologies

• Support the Mechanical Systems Engineering Team in the continued development of innovative aircraft systems and components

• Provide validation and verification of flight controls systems according to recognized processes (e.g. ARP5770, ARP4754A) • Technical management of vendor development projects

• Plan and lead flight controls systems rig tests

• Production of certification Engineering Reports for submission to EASA / FAA

• University degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in aerospace mechanical systems

• Proven experience in PFCS/SFCS systems development, both conventional and fly-by-wire

• Knowledge of multiple Flight Controls Systems control skills are beneficial (flaps, trims, trimmable horizontal stabilizer, spoilers)

• Experience of component life cycle

• Knowledge of system development per ARP4754A and ARP4761

• Data analysis & reporting skills as well as flexibility for multitasking activities

• Extensive experience of producing high quality Engineering Reports in English

• Proven strong vendor management skills

• Ability to lead Validation and Verification activities to comply with certification requirements of FAR Title 14 Part 23/ EASA CS-23 regulations
